1957 DeSoto Fireflite
For those who don’t know this car or have forgotten about it, this is DeSoto Fireflite produced from DeSoto division of Chrysler corporation. The production lasted for just five years, from 1955 to 1960. Through these years we got the pleasure to see different body-styles like 2-door coupe and sedan, 4-door sedan, hardtop and station wagon. This model was the official pace car for the Indianapolis 500 back in 1956. This particular 1957 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman is painted in Fiesta Red and Frost White paint combined with 14 inch steel wheels.
Under the hood of this 1957 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman there is an original 341 cubic inch Hemispherical Fire Dome V8 engine. This engine produces about 295 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is also original A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic.
