1964 Dodge Polara
For those who haven’t heard about this Dodge model or they’ve forgotten about it, this was top-of-the-line full size car back in 1960 when the production started. The 1964 Dodge Polara model year belongs to the second generation (from four different generations) of the 13 years of production (1960 – 1973). This second generation comes in five different body styles, 4-door sedan, station wagon, hardtop and 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible. In 1964 this vehicle received new sheet metal and increased wheelbase among the other changes made from the previous versions.
This 1964 Dodge Polara is powered by rebuilt 440 cubic inch Six-Pack V8 machine, with a 727 3-speed automatic transmission. But it’s interesting that the strongest engine produced back in the days was 413 cubic inch – 6.8 liter, so the question remains, why Dodge has never developed this car to its full potential.
