1965 Chevy Corvette Sting Ray
The second C2 generation (1963 – 1967) – of Chevrolet Corvettes is also known as Sting Ray. It’s a two-seated sports car with peaked fenders, long nose and short, boobed tail. This particular 1965 model year is muscled up with the addition of a brand new breaking system, vertical exhaust vents in the front fenders and restyled wheel covers. The new breaking system is actually four-wheel disc brakes with four-piston design and cooling fins for the rotors, and for the first time this system is used for this model.
About the engine, 1965 Corvette Sting Ray is powered by 396 cu-in – 6.5 L – big-block V8 engine that produces 425 horsepower (317 kW). The transmission for this second generation of Corvette Sting Rays is represented by 3-speed manual, 4-speed manual and 2-speed power-glide automatic transmissions.
