1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30

This is one of 47 built 1969 Oldsmobile 442, and there is a reason for it. The reason why is this car unique, it’s because is Canadian car. This 1969 Olds is the only one known Canadian ordered 442 in black paint with red stripes and red interior. The 442 originally started with production back in 1964 as a version of the Cutlass, featuring a four barrel carburetor, four speed transmission and dual exhaust. That’s where it get the name ‘442’. By 1968 the 442 was actually elevated into it’s own model and it’s technically no longer a Cutlass.

Under the hood of this 1969 Oldsmobile 442 there is a W-30 package. The 400 cubic inch Oldsmobile V8 is creating 360 horsepower and 440 pound feet of torque. This combination gives a very fast vehicle, maybe faster then some people think.

    Oldsmobile built about 1,200 442s with the W-30 package.

    You also forgot the 1964 442 package was available on the F85.
