1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with Modern SRT HEMI Engine
What we are seeing is an absolutely gorgeous silver metallic 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with modern heart under the hood. This kind of modification has been one of our favorite, a classic muscle car with modern engine. We have seen them before as SRT Hemi Hellcat engine in ‘68 Charger, 392 Hemi in ‘71 Challenger and LS in ’66 Chevelle. However, this Challenger, we must admit is awesome and it comes from the well-known RK Motors Charlotte.
As we have said before, this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is powered by a modern Chrysler’s 6.1 liter or 370 cubic-inch SRT V8 Mopar small-block HEMI Crate engine. With 10.3 to 1 compression ratio, the engine produces wealthy 425 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is attached by a Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual transmission system. On all four wheels there is a Wilwood braking system, which includes 12-inch self-vented rotors and 4-piston calipers featuring U.S. Mags five-spoke wheels wrapped with 245/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle GT tires.
