1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
This vehicle is a performance – oriented option package of the iconic Ford Mustang produced by Ford Motor Company for nearly one decade. Originally introduced in August 1968 as a 69 model year package, the last Mach version was produced 1978 and was returned in 2003 as a part of Ford heritage program. With the introduction of the fifth generation Mustang, Mach 1 was discounted after the 2004 model year. The name ‘Mach 1’ was used for the first time in 1959 for a concept car called Ford Rotunda.
Speaking about the body-style of the 1970 Mustang Mach 1, there was only one option – 2-door Sportsroof. There are four different engine options for the 1969 and 1970 model years starting from 351 cu in – 5.8 L – Windsor – tall deck V8, through 428 cu in – 7.0 L – CJ/SCJ V8. The transmission of this vehicle is 3-speed manual / automatic and 4-speed manual.
