The reason why this car exist is primarily because of Trans Am racing. On the other hand, the 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR is one of those cars that pushed muscle car styling over the top. The very successful Formula 1, Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR race driver Dan Gurney was the owner of the AAR (All American Racer Team). In ’67 (’68 and ’69) Dan Gurney campaigned a Mercury Cougar, but in 1970 AAR campaigned this (new for 1970) Plymouth Barracuda.
