1971 Dodge Charger R/T – Hemi Pilot Car
When you take a look at this car the first reactions is that this is a really nicely restored 1971 Dodge Charger. The black stripe and the “R/T” graphic on the hood says that the R/T package is under the hood. However, this vehicle is even more special knowing the fact that it’s a pilot car for the ’71 Hemi Charger program. The automakers used the term “pilot car” to describe the first ones from the production line.
If you open the hood of this 1971 Dodge Charger R/T you’ll see that there is a 426 HEMI engine. The transmission is four speed. It seems that this car have just about everything you could want out of ’71 Charger, plus some details that you couldn’t find in the regular line of the 1971 Charger.
