1971 Plymouth Barracuda – The Perfect Muscle
There is one very rare category of cars called ‘survivors’ that have maintained over the years. Here we have a perfect example of that category, a very unique 1971 Plymouth Barracuda, a car that was driven and enjoyed over the years but still not been restored. This model itself, back in 1971 went to a slide design update, some said to look more like a shark, with a specific grill up front combined with some side gills on the fenders.
Another interesting fact is that this vehicle hasthe pre-delivery inspection date written with a paint marker under the hood. This 1971 Plymouth is powered by 426 Hemi engine under the big shaker hood scoop, producing (according to the original advertisement) 425 horsepower and a torque output of 490 ft-lb. However it’s pretty special to see that a factory had installed numbers matching the original Hemi Cuda numbers when exhibited at a show or an event.
