1972 Buick Riviera – Custom 22” Wheels
This is an extraordinary classic Buick Riviera from 1972, customized and restored, with big 22 inch wheels on it. This 1972 Buick Riviera has one of the most specific and most unique body styles – E-body platform, a big inspiration for classic car enthusiasts for customizing and modifying. The ‘boat-tail’ design was originally inspired by 1963 Chevy Corvette Sting Ray split-window coupe.
However, this model year belongs to the third generation of Rivieras (1971 – 1973) and officially is related to Cadillac Eldorado and Oldsmobile Toronado. This classic Buick vehicle is found only as a 2-door hardtop body-style. Under the hood we can also find only one, but very powerful engine version – 455 cu in – 7.5 L Buick V8 machine with 225 HP / 168 kW or 250 HP / 190 kW in the Grand Sport version. We know that this doesn’t mean much, knowing that this is modified car and the engine versions are for the production models.
