1973 Chevrolet Caprice Covertible 454
Chevrolet Caprice is a full-size car that started with production back in 1965 on a B-body platform. The 1973 model year is a part of the second generation of these General Motors vehicles. Also in 1973 it was renamed in ‘Caprice Classic’. This particular one, on the video bellow, is a very clean customized cruiser with some nice candy red paint combined with cool chrome wheels and an awesome sound from under the hood. Convertible Caprice was for the first time moved to the production lineup in 1973.
Talking about engine, there are two different options for this Chevrolet model. First one is the standard Turbo-Fire 400 cubic inch / 6.6 liter – two-barrel engine creating about 150 horsepower, and the second one is the Turbo-Jet 454 cubic inch / 7.4 liter Big-Block V8 machine creating about 245 horsepower (dual exhaust). This particular model has the second,more powerful, engine option.
