2016 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak – Revealed And Coming Soon
For more than 50 years, Mopar is developing, producing and offering factory prepared drag cars, with some of the best drag racing packages. These days they have announced the 2016 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak, which is coming this fall. Mopar engineers have been working on this project for more than one year and have developed factory drag racer which has been manufactured till the smallest details.
The 2016 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak is based on the 2015 Dodge Challenger, delivered to Mopar facilities where the true transformation starts. The changes and upgrades are made on the engine, suspension, axle, body and brakes. The interior is equipped with a roll cage, racing safety belts and light weight bucket seats.
The 2016 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak will be offered with naturally aspirated 426 HEMI aluminum block V8 or a supercharged 354 HEMI with iron cast V8 engine block (the power of the both engines remains unknown). Both engines will be attached by an automatic racing transmission system which spins the rear axle. The high performance braking system is made by Strange, featuring Hoosier drag racing tires. But the Mopar engineers have only one purpose, to build an ultimate drag racer with a time under 9 seconds at ¼ mile. The Challenger Drag Pak won’t be available till late July and will be with limited production.
