2016 Shelby Mustang GT350R vs GT350
Every day we are closer to the final release of the 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350 and the track oriented version GT350R. As we know so far between GT350 and GT350R there will be difference in equipment. That means that the GT350 will have an air conditioning, rear seats and audio system, while on the other hand the GT350R will have none of those things, but will be equipped with a full aerodynamic package for maximum performance.
These two models are going to be powered by all new Ford 5.2 liter V8 engine with flat-plane crankshaft, factory rated at 526 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. With maximum 8,250 rpm this engine is the highest-revving factory Ford V8 engine ever produced and in combination with the new flat-plane crankshaft, it produces the sweetest exhaust sound.
As we’ve mentioned before the 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350R will have a different configuration, which includes: full aero package (front splitter, rear spoiler and rear diffuser), light Recaro bucket seats, MagneRide (magnetic) adaptive dampers. Exclusive light carbon fiber wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and powerful braking system made by Brembo.
