Zombie 222 Ford Mustang – The 1800 Torque Monster
As an American muscle car enthusiast, it’s very funny when you hear that someone drives an electric vehicle. But when they told you that the electric vehicle, it’s driven by another muscle car enthusiast, you will realize that something isn’t right. And yes, it’s about an electric 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, but this is not an ordinary classic Mustang with a batteries in the trunk.
This is all-electric Zombie 222 Mustang, and the brain behind this project is Mitch Medford and his team at Blood Shed Motors. This 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback is charged by Dual Electric DC Motors with capacity of 1.1 MW LiPo racing batteries. The electric motors can generate more than 800 horsepower, and believe or not, can produce massive 1800 lb.-ft. of torque.
It achieves 60 mph faster than any other serial production supercar in the world, actually from 0 to 60 mph it takes only 1.94 seconds and can achieve a top speed of incredible 174 mph. On the other side, something that any muscle car enthusiast won’t like is the fact that Level 2 charging of the batteries it takes 60 minutes, which is enough only for 50 mile range. At the end this Zombie 222 Mustang has an estimate value of $225,000.
